I am Italian, a first-generation postgrad, a feminist, and an outdoor enthusiast. In my free time I can be found hiking (possibly in the mountains), running, and occasionally climbing. Very often this is in company of Kurt Erbach, my husband, who’s also a researcher (in linguistics).
My feminist background influences both my research and my private life. I am occasionally asked to write or talk about feminism in Italian media. You can find my thoughts on Greta Thunberg and the misogyny she has been subjected to in two articles: on the magazine Jacobin here, and on the popular Italian feminist blog Abbatto I Muri here. I have been recently interviewed on recent linguistic choices in Italian politics and you can find the article here.
